Special tiles
Letter tiles with an extra rule, and symbol tiles that change how words join. A special tile keeps its look in the word, so you can always see what it will do.
Spreader Letter tile
When submitted, the tiles beside it in the word gain half its points.

Dot Letter tile
Doubles the word score when it is the last tile.

Initial Letter tile
Doubles the word score when it is the first tile.

Diamond Letter tile
Gains +5 points per play while on the board (before multipliers); lost once it is submitted or leaves.

Emerald Letter tile
A 25% chance to score 4× its points.

Exclamation Symbol tile
Scores 1 point per tile left on the board after the word. Must end the word (several may, "WOW!!"); in a quoted word they come right before the closing quote ("WORD!").

Joins two words into one submission (FROG+RACE); every part must be a word.
